Default New Toys

Well as you know on August 22 I will be embarking on an ADV ride for about a week or so to Canada on the KLX. In preparing for my trip I picked up a small compact sleeping bag,

A small compact tent

And today I just picked up a MSR Backpacking stove. This thing is ultra light weight and compact. And best of all I already have the fuel bottles. It burns White gas, unleaded, kerosene and diesel.

I did a test, it boiled 2 cups of water in 3 minutes.

I wanted a stove that didn't need some special fuel cells or containers that I didn't need to buy in the store. The cost was $130.00 with tax. My wife is going to kill me for spending all this money while she was gone, but oh well. After 3 weeks she will be so happy to see me maybe she won't be too mad.

It also came with a folding wind screen, its real easy to use.

Oh and one final item, I was at the hardware store today picking up some stuff for work, and low and behold I saw something in the 50% off bin and look what I found. And before anyone starts singing "fat guy on a little chair" because I did, Its actually pretty comfortable. And its rated for 300 lbs, so I'm just under the limit.

So I think I'm pretty much ready,

Even picked up a can of Spam, haven't had that in years, and its about time.

Deej,
Dont forget the grizzly bear repellant! A 454 Casull works real well. We do not want you to be eaten because grizzly's just love to snack on Super Moderators. Especially the tender aged plump ones. There is nothing worse than being grizzly stew.
We want you to return in one piece! So again:
