This rascal built a web at head height *directly* in front of our glass sliding door to the deck. My wife came oh so close to walking into him tonight. He's about an inch or two long.

the 300 is a great camera...DG and I have been using it for about a year now and we love it...I would recommend getting any of the flashes (sb-600 - sb-900)...check for any new firmware...I've been probably using Nikon for 25 years now...

You have a great eye!!!

Hey thanks, OD. I've got a lot to learn, but it's fun. I appreciate the advice. One of those SB flashes is on my list at some point and I'd like to get a good solid tripod, too. And photoshop. And ... So many toys, so little time (and money).

tripods...I prefer Bogen/Manfrotto with a ball head...depending on what you will be shooting lighter for outdoor travel and the big ol' heavy one for studio work...still running PS7 and if I had the money would be getting the CS3...B&H Photo is great we do alot of business with them but we also order with Andromeda...both ahve the best prices and excellent customer service...

Thanks for the tripod tip, I'll look into it. I got my camera, lights, and table from B&H, I agree they are a great store. I'll check out Andromeda.

BTW, I'm getting "The Bear" framed. This crop @ 12x24, black frame, it's going to be a birthday gift for my dad. Hope it comes out clear enough.
