Remember guys we are not a democracy but rather a republic that uses the electoral college to elect our president....not a popular vote.

and it should be popular vote IMO.
Religion and politics can sure stir up some very heated conversations between people. So everyone please keep it clean and civil and we can enjoy each other's point of views and opinions. If the KF rules of posting get outside the lines in this thread, the entire thread will be deleted.
On another thought, I always thought it would be cool, if we could have a dozen or so people to choose from . Let them all get up, state their cases, experiences, record, etc and let the american people with the popular vote choose. but, what do I know. I'm a simple trucker and biker. lol.

Seriously though, I personally thing very little change can come from the current system. It is designed to resist change, probably on purpose. I would like to see fewer career politicians and ultra-rich elitists as our only options. And the nature of the process itself tends to weed out good people.
