Used to ride three bikes in sequence...health and age have snuck up on me and caused me to trade the ZX-9R, Vulcan and Nighthawk in on one Connie. She's a good blend of the other three genres (don't give up TOO much from any catagory - don't get TOO much OF any catagory, either.)
From reading this thread I guess I feel even more lucky than I did before....
I ride with a group of 15-20. We meet up with other groups and it just gets even bigger. We have a set ride time on Sundays at 1pm... I thought that was the norm...friends getting together and riding.
I am lucky for sure to have the friends that I have...and our group is not picky. We have mostly Super Sports...but there are Harley's and Metric cruisers that come along with us some times...its kinda like a family I guess

One with friends to ride with is lucky indeed. Guess that's the nice part of the Connie. If I'm riding with my buddy from down the road on his ancient Honda Magna, or with my friend in town on either his 'Wing or Nomad...it just kinda falls into place. Most around here feel that "if it has two wheels and he/she is on it then they are my brother/sister". We do have two distinctly separate groups of riders of ONE certain brand. One of these groups falls into the area of "wheels/brothers/sisters", the others think their ride has been spoiled if they smell "rice fumes". Ah well, we always stop to help them when one of them forgets to put go juice in or when something falls off going down the road. Funny how good a metric with a passenger carrying a gas can looks to someone on a piece of thirsty American Iron. Think we'll pick 'em off one at a time and put them in the W/B/S catagory. It's where every one on two wheels belongs.[sm=smiley20.gif]
I ride with my girlfriend (yes she has her own 2 bikes).
also, i ride with this great group of riders http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/denverrustednuts/
