I will give you the mustang on the strip, my uncle has a 80's mustang drag car with a 4clyinder and a 5 speed, won every race its ever been in. Of course there are only like 3 other cars that compete in its class but thats beside the point. The mustang isnt Eclipse heavy, but it's still too heavy compared to the other drift cars on the circut, its only redeeming factor is the HP. The 5.0 is a nice ride, but it looks exactly like all the teeny boppersin the base model V-6's that think they just bought a Ferarri for 15k.

 

I'm far from a teeny bopper. My Mustang is almost stock right now, and I still beat an SRT-4 in a 1/4 mile drag race (on a drag strip, I am definately not a street racing dumba$$ (I'm drunk posting again)) but there's no better starting point for a drag racer than a fox-body Mustang. The only reason Chevy does so well in the drag racing world is because it's cheaper to build a high HP Chevy motor than it is to build a Ford motor.

 

I think we have reached a stalemate... I hate SRT-4's too, but we can save that for another time
