That's funny. My granddad use to have a pet deer, it lost its mother and just hung around and they fed it and it basically turned into a pet. It roamed around, no pen or anything, and would venture out, but would always return to to hang around close by the house. When deer season rolled around, they put an orange vest on it. I think it eventually figured it out wasn't a human and stayed gone longer and longer until it eventually never came back. True story.
