I was at the Dragon and on Cherohala on Sunday and again on Monday .Cherohala is a better ride in my opinion .The Dragon is still open but they are cracking down .It is a federal highway that is why the state is patrolling it the way they do ,aside from this the idiots who think they are Rossi or Hayden when they first get their bikes are causing bigger problems .You can still ride it but it isn't advisable to rip thru it .The state keeps troopers posted there .

Prolly why I will never go there. The Track is so much more fun and actually cheaper in the long run.

Yup, after experiencing the track, street riding is dangerous in comparison. Ok, I am off topic again.

Agreed. Track is better if you want to go all out.

One of the main reasons I go to the Gap is because that is where I meet up with my friends from around the country. We have guys from FL, AL, MS, LA, SC, NC, Canada, and GA that all take this place as our get together place.

Some guys get together and hunt. We get together and ride!

Understood that meanstrk. Group hunt or a group ride it is all good. Honestly though, a group street ride wears me out more than riding the track. Mentally I guess would be the term. A lot more unknowns on the street. Bear with me meanstrk, not really used to street riding much. My first year since 1990.
