I have thougt about re-enlisting probably once every couple months since 911 occurred. My problem is I wouldnt pass the physical. I have bad knee from my first enlistment, and a military healthcare record that reads like an encylopedia because it. I have also developed asthma since I have been out.

I was in the the first Iraqi war in 1990. With all the great people in the military today, I like the rest believe he will be in good hands.

 

Be careful with that decision. I decided college would be better too. A bunch of wasted money and time later, I went ahead and joined up. I don't know you in person, it is just advice given from hard experience. Now after 7 years in the Army I am a 3.79 GPA college student. Guess I had some growing up to do

 

The Marines have a reserve component. They do have Force Recon both active and Reserve which is very similar to SF. However, only the National Guard has SF unit's as the Reserves do not, other than the full time active duty Army SF units.
