I HATE MY BROTHER-IN-LAW
OK, deeeeeeeeep breaths...
So I finally get my 636 on the road, AT LAST
, Went away this weekend to meet up with some friends, go riding, open the B*tch up, VERY NICE. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE my bike. So anyways, I come home and decided to go see my sister and her husband. Well, my sisters driveway is VERY steep, I mean / that steep. So, I park my bike on the top where it's mostly flat.
Well, my brother-in-law was throwing things into the dumpster they rented and decided to move my bike for me. Well, he parks it nose facing down hill. I come outside, start walking over to my and as I walk over, I was saying to him, why did you park my bike there, it could roll. Well, guess what... IT rolled. I was walking to it as it rolled. luckly it rolled down in that spot. [:@]

I didn't crack any fairings, but scratched the one engine cover and broke the peg and broke the bracket that is right above the footpeg. So, I don't have first, or second, third, fourth, fifith, or sixth gear. the shirter just slides because that one bracket is cracked. [:@]
I just love my brother-in-law....[:@]
So, now my question is, does anyone know if I'm going to have to buy the whole assembly or can I just pick up a footpeg and that bracket. If you don't know what exact bracket I'm talking about, look at your bike. Right above the peg is a "V" shaped bracket, that's what cracked.
Oh, and I just picked up sliders but didn't have a chance to put them on.. I hate myself for that one

I think your brother in-law should pay for the repairs since it was his carelessness that caused the accident. You can pick up just those specific parts, just go to the dealer and see how much those parts are going to cost. You may not need the shifter boss, just look at the pick when your at the dealer to make sure of the parts . Here's the part numbers for you;
footpeg=34028-0002
frontstay=35063-0037-458
shifter arm=13236-1317
shifter boss=13242-1348

Ok, thanks for the feedback. I should make the jerk pay for it huh? Good call. I know its family but he's just a big dumb a-hole. AND no one messes with my baby. (my bike)
Geez that sucks! I would hope that he would offer to pay for the damage. In my opinion he should pay to repair it. He should have asked you to move the bike, not take it upon himself to do it. I'd be pissed too.
Oh, trust me... I am beyond pissed. He was trying to make me laugh about it when it happen, which I find no humor in my bike or any bike falling. But he was like, "oh look Kawasaki at it's best, on it's side" I had the broken pieces from the footpeg in my hand... I was going to throw it threw his windshield on his car. And be like... "he he look chevy at it's best, a-hole" [:@]
I'm sorry, I don't mean to be so graphic and potty mouth, but I'm sure you all would feel the same.

[sm=funnypostabove.gif] That is funny! I would have wanted to do the same thing (I know what kinds of words came out of my mouth when I dropped my bike, I can just imagine what would come out if someone else damaged mine)!
dude, that really sucks. if i where you i would have him pay for everything. but by the looks of it you would be able to get away with just the foot rest and the bracket. the fall didn't seem that bad to cause internal damage. but sh*t thats got to hurt. dude good luck, and don't let your brother-in-law touch your bike again. if he does shoot the b*tch.
I just called up my bike shop and priced out the bracket and peg. Bracket is about $71 and peg is about $52, but my friend gets a discount at the place because he holds an account. So I get 30% off the price. Makes me a little happy.
Oh, trust me he's going to some how get a , "oops, Sorry, it slipped"
to his car. He's a cheap bastered. And besides it would come out of my sisters pocket not his, because he's a cheap bastered.
