Default Birthday present for my dad

My dad rides a KLR 650 from home to work which is about an hour drive, and when he leaves the house at 0500 in the morning it can be pretty chilly. My mom and I were wanting to get him a nicewarm pair of gloves for riding. Personally I don't have any idea what brand to get him or whats even good.So I thought I would post this up in the hopes that some of you could give me some ideas on what might work.

Thanks in advance

hotfingers are the best gloves ive ever owned. even after a whole day of tooloing the vmax around in negative temps on lakes in northern maine my hands were still as warm and cozy as they were infront of the fire back at the cabin. theyre not to expensive either, i dunno how much exactly, but not to much. theyre not bushy either, theyre pretty thin, but not paper... if you know what i mean

How about heated grips/bars, I really like em.

Heated grips, I never thought of that I will check into both of those. If I could get him heated grips and maybe some good gloves that KX mentioned then that would really be nice

Thanks

I have Gerbings G3 heated gloves (Very expensive), and detachable heated grips. (More reasonably priced.) The gloves by far warm the hands more evenly than the grips. Now, both together at the same time... Oh yeah![8D] But if you only choose only one, go with the gloves.
