i did file a claim on my auto insurance policy. nothing on my record though and the bike is a seperate policy. my auto only went up a few buck. there excuse is they had the wrong info for the past year, even though the had the VIN # and a pic.

RE: Bike insurance???
Some of you guys are paying 10 times what I pay for liability, why is there such a difference in prices? Is it the fact that they consider my bike low risk? Is it because I'm 42? Is it because I have a perfect driving record? What is it? I pay $80.00 a year for combined liability on both bikes. What gives? Is it because its not even required here in Washington?

RE: Bike insurance???
it depends on the bike as well as on how many years you have been licensed in most cases.....
some places won't even give you full coverage if you don't have your m/c license for at least 3 years.....

RE: Bike insurance???
i went through an actual agent who found the lowest rate for me through progressive for $145/yr for comp and collision. My ex had a wreck and dui on his record and went through her, got liability only and was quoted $125/yr. so i would recommend finding an actual person who does that stuff instead of looking for it on your own.

RE: Bike insurance???
Well everyone thanks for your input. i did call some of your insurance companies, and the best quote in my area for full coverage is $84 per month through Eastwood insurance. I’m 28 with a clean record, but maybe Ca has a lot to do with the high rates. I know by living here you get screwed with a whole lot more than other states. Thanks again
