OMG! I had gay rabbits!!

I think they'll be okay - they are 10 days old today, their eyes are supposed to open between 10-12 days - can't wait!

You will do just fine Bluebird. I agree with the goat milk. Actually is the best milk out there. I have some experience on rabbitries. Had 100 breeding does with a semi picking up the market sized youngins every few weeks. Make sure that you have a nesting box for the does. Originally, that may have secured the long gone mother to stay.

From what I could tell, the mother had everything she needed for the babies (they had their little nest full of her fur) She never seemed to take care of them though, but then again I do realize that the mothers typically only feed them a couple of times a day. But the babies were always trying to get out of the nest to go to her - apparently if they are being fed by the mother, they are quiet and sleeping. So hard to say - I don't know for sure if she actually looked after them or not.

But on a good note, the three babies are doing awesome right now, they are all eating plenty and growing like weeds! The eyes still haven't opened up yet though.

Dragone - I've read that I should start letting them try pellets and hay around 15 days along with their milk. What would you recommend?

In person - they are cuter than that kitten! They are french lop ear rabbits. From what I can tell they are going to have one ear that hangs down and the other one will stick up. Look kind of goofy, but cute still!

Wow look at that motherly protection coming out, I think they are in good hands and they are cuter than that nastey old orange cat.
