Default First Ride

Took the first ride on the bike today. Short but fun. During the ride I noticed that the clutch or tranny hesitated a little. Had to wait about 1/2 a sec. before getting back on the throttle. The good news on that is, it came with a new clutch pack. Got to the gas station right at closing time. I go to open the gas cap, and it wouldn't turn. I could get a 1/4 turn and then it would just stop. When i did get it to turn, I saw that they key was bent. Then trying to turn the bike on and i couldn't get the key to turn yet again. Stuck the key back in the gas cap and straightend it back enough to get the key to turn. Get home, had a smoke and then noticed there is oil on the ground. Called the guy and asked him what he thought. He says that it might be the clutch pin. Is that possible? Also what are some sugestions for the gas cap?

hahaha, you trying to break off your key already?
True on wipeing the oil off to find the leak, let us know. The two banjo oil lines off of the front of the head comes to mind for oil leaks. That is if the oil filter is on correctly.

edit: if the oil seal is actually doing its job that is.

No, not trying to break the key. That wouldn't be a good thing. Guess I need to get some made just for that reason.
Not sure what this is, but should it be conected to anything? There was a bunch of oil at the end.

It has a clip on the end of the hose, so would say it connected to something. Looks like an oil vapor emissions thing. I am not sure what that is.

That looks like the moisture/water overflow coming out of my airbox... has a one-way filter/valve on it just like that so crap cant wash up into the airbox... where is the line coming from?

What year is your 7? I might have a shop manual for it and can take a look...

It's a 91.Itlooks to go under behind the frame up to about where the tank ends. Looking in the book it looks lke part of the evap system from a 96-on california model. The neighbor saw it and asked what it was. He knows a little about bikes too.

The guy i got the bike from called and wanted to know how things were going with the bike. Told him things were fine but i didn't think that the bike had any oil. Well i guess that was the end of our conversation, because i never responded again. So I changed the oil and filter today. There had to of been only like 1-1 1/2 quarts of oil drained. On a good note, I think i found were she was leaking. Think it might be coming from the slave cylinder
