Bike won't start when hot
have a 1994 Zx750 and I had the carbs rebuilt and new floats put into it in march. Now that its hot out and I've been riding the bike a bit more when the bike it turned off and then I try to start it a few minutes later it won't start... it cranks and cranks but it seems like there is no fuel. Sometimes I can get it started but not often usually I have to wait until it cools down a little. When I'm saying the bike is hot I mean that its running below half way up the temp gauge. I've tried starting it with the cap open on the tank and putting my hand over the intake to try and pull more fuel into the carbs but it doesn't seem to make a difference. I don't smell any gas when I'm trying to start the bike when its hot either so I don't think its flooding.
When I called the shop and asked them if its possible if something was misadjusted they told me that it was set perfectly so before I take it back there and they give me some kind of a song and dance I was just wondering if someone had a suggestion for something to try
Thanks

I haven't pulled the fuel line when the bike is hot but it starts when it cold no problem and the bike when running both when its hot and cold doesn't experience and hesitation or anything. If I've been riding it and then I turn the bike off and go back in five minutes or so I just can't get it started until it cools off a bit.

My 94 is the same way. If I go to the gas station, fill it up, then start it. Its fine, but if I let it sit for more then 20 min I have to hold the throttle half way open and let it crank for a few seconds to get it to start. It didnt start doing this until I fixed another problem with a hose missing from the carbs goin to the airbox. I figured it might be cause I leave the gas on or something but if it sits overnight with the gas on it fires right up the next day or after a few hours. I started to notice a whistling noise coming from the top of the tank where the key goes like a bad seal or something. Im not to sure if this has anything to do with it or not.
