Default wrecked need help

Ok guys so I wrecked my bike. 2004 Ninja ZX-6R and i crashed into a car doing about 10 mph. ok so it seems my clutch is halfway engaged for some reason. I can't start it in gear, only in Neutral. also when I try to move it when i gear with the clutch in, it seems like something is bogging down the tires. When I do start it, it idles at about 3000 rpms for some reason and the bike seems like it gets real hot. If anyone can help me with some sorta diagnosis, it would be much appreciated. Thx.

First we need to know which side hit, what happened and what the damages are. Was the bike fine before you hit the car?

Most likely you bent either your clutch lever or the linkage going into the clutch assembly. Follow your clutch line down to the clutch and look for kinks in the line. The high revving may be a sticking throttle or the idle screw (black screw **** on left side right about knee high) got cranked up a little.

Good Luck and hopefully you are OK !

Ok well I figured out that the high idle was the fact that the choke cable had some damage, but that was easily fixed. Still have a problem with the clutch though. There are no kinks or damage to the cable. Could it have possibly been streched or anything like that? What are the chances of there being something wrong with the clutch itself? I'm new to this stuff so any input would help. And I was wonderin' if you guys knew of any places where I could get the plastics for my bike cheap. I know it's not gonna be cheap but i managed to break or crack every plastic on the bike except for the left fairing. Again guys, Thx for your help.

Well if ya had no probs b4 with the clutch b4 the wreck then I'm guessing the cable got stretched or damage to the lever. Again what is the damage where at and what broke. Considering the bike gets hot I'm guessing you rear ended someone and damage is to the front. is your fan working maybe why it gets hot or damage to the radiator. Check it out let us know whats up. btw good luck.

I actually hit a car head on...go figure. Yea there is a little damage to the front and some to the right side. The fan still turns on, how hot is a normal temp for a bike? It looks like some radiator fluid shot out when the radiator cap was bent but other then that I dont see any damage to the radiator.

At a sit still it should hit around 210-215.... Going by what mine hits this is not moving though, just sitting there.

If your radiator cap or the radiator lip is bent, it won't seal to build up pressure to prevent the coolant from boiling, which causes overheating. Also if there's a lot of air it'll run hot. As far as your clutch; make sure there's not too much slack if it's dragging.
