Default What would cause the coolant overflow tank to get pressurized?

I've found my coolant leak to be a hose coming off of the coolant overflow tank. Im not too well versed on how these bikes are setup yet, so excuse my lack of knowlege on this subject. What would cause the overflow tank to get pressurized, and why is there a tube that goes out of it straight to the ground? It seems to me that coolant would just flow right out of that tube, until the little tank is empty. I didnt see any sort of flap or anything that would keep coolant from flowing right out .

it seems like once the bike gets warm, and the cooling system pressurizes, coolant starts coming out of that tube that drains right by the rear swingarm on the right side. Can anyone clue me in on why this is setup this way, and why mine might be puking coolant all over the place? Thanks!

sounds like you tube is clogged.. the tube goes to the ground so that it doesn't cover the engine..

normally that should happen when your engine gets really hot its like a relase valve if you will all that boiling coolant leaks from there cars have the simular thing , what could cuase that bad radiator cap would be my first guess then i would go checking all your raidter lines for punctures and clogs, flush coolant and refill then run it again with new raidiator cap, if probles still happens chek fans see if they work properly then maybe bad radiater what bikes is it ? ( I say the cap becuase the cap keeps the coolant at a certian pressure and temp, once the cap cant keep that pressure or lets the coolant go above normal pressure and heat , it leaks out , so new camp solves it )

assuming your bike is still under warranty....take it to a dealer, let them solve the problem. Esp, if you yourself aren't too familiar with how the system works.
