Default tune up on my 636

I've got 8000 miles now, and just bought new plugs and a k/n filter. Does anybody have any advice or suggestions on doing the tuneup? I know i will be taking off the seat, and gas tank. Just wondering if anyone has any input which would come in handy?

Check the chain and sprockets for wear/stretch. Check tires, brake pads. Flush and bleed the brakes if you haven't done that recently. Swap all the fluids out.

Thanks appreciate the info. I just got new tires, and my sprockets and chain is good. Maybe i'l get some braided brakes lines, and flush the brake fluid at the same time. Probably will flush the coolant too, and add some wet wetter, etc.

If you have your owners manual, look in there; it will give you all the things you need to look at at 8K miles. Lube your clutch & throttle cables too with Dri-Slide. I don't think you need plugsor a valve adjustment yet.
