I had 50 mph get off and suffered only minor daaage to the upper, scaped the stator cover, small scar on my crg shorty [:@](i was pissed the most about that), wore the frame slider and swing arm slider down about 1/2.

Not bad imo!

 

I would say get as much protection as possible. Remember you dont have to worry only about your driving but the whole world. Cheapest set of fairings ive found on e-bay was $450.
