BigRig18Wheeler, that paintjob from the truck would look awesome on your bike. Is that your truck?

What Brand of Dyno was it? That 125 sound a little high for stock with a Slip-On. I think Sport Rider's totally stock bike at 107.5 RWHP which sounds a little low compared to the other 600's. Also HP reading will vary from dyno to dyno. Another thing to take into consideration is the Manufacturers only supply the best and most powerful bikes to the Magazine Editors in hopes of a good write-up for sales and bragging rights. So these bike are gone thru good to make sure they put out the most power. Here's the link: http://sportrider.com/features/146_0306_600_dyno/ They've got the Honda just under in HP and the Suzuki with more Torque than the 636. Must be a mistake, because the extra cubes should outdo all those bikes. I bet they put the ZX6RR #'s down. Okay, Here's the 04 Comparison and it seems more realistic: http://sportrider.com/features/146_0408_comp_dyno/

I guess I'll just have to see what a few thousand miles of loosening up & the Race Cams, Stacks & ECU does for HP.

Picked up my bike today and it is much stronger at the bottom and midrange. I haven't opened it up yet. Gatta find a safe place to do it. There's a Nascar race going on here at the Texas Motor Speedway and I live 7 minutes away from iy. Traffic is a problem. Not safe to do anything right now.

Well the graph shows 107.6 RWHP peak at 13,400 with the 207-010 Dynojet MAP. It gained hp in the bottom & midrange and I can feel it. The front wheel wants to come up all the time. The other map I had was too lean in the bottom & mid range. I can't wait to put on and Dyno it with the Race ECU. I don't feel too bad that mine did almost 108 with just a Slip-on. The Ultimate 4 gas adds 3-4% to the HP.

Here's some info I got for the Race ECU:

'05 ZX6-RR Arata exhaust, PC3R, Ultimate 4, dyno'd 108.x Saturday morning. Customer comes up here and picks up the Kit ECU, installs it, and puts it back on the same dyno, same day... 116hp. Makes some tweaks to the PC3R and... 119 HORSEPOWER. This a basically stock 600 with only the above mentioned mods.

The main advantage is the timing adjustment/ advance and if it's advanced throughout the rpm range, then you'll have more power. The Race ECU affects top end more with the raised redline and the advanced ignition curve. I have an extra one that I might install just to see how it feels on the "Seat of the Pants" Dyno before I take it back for the certified Dynojet Run.

i assume that it is still very streetable with the race ecu then. can one install that and get the right maps with out extensive dyno runs. as there is not one real close to me.

Yes, it's supposed to be streetable. The default map which is already loaded in it is supposed to be really good. P.M. me and I can give you more info.

Well, I found a open stretch of road last night and opened her up. It was about 65 degrees and hardly any cars around midnight. I got up to an indicated speed of 161 MPH but had to let off cause the road got a little bumpy at that speed! I'm not sure of the accuracy of the speedo. I was impressed with the bike; she was VERY STABLE! Actually, the road there was wavy but at thet speed they're bumps. I think I got airborne a couple of times. I hadn't even topped out yet and it was slightly uphill. I'll try again when its safe to do so. I will have to get my buddy, a State Trooper to radar me on a good straight and flat High-way or get a GPS system.

As soon as I get enough "breaking-in miles" on the bike, I plan on hitting the local bike dyno. Eklipse636's numbers probrably aren't that far off. Cycle World got 118.3 rear wheel hp out of a stock 05 ZX6R 636. A slip-on can easily add 6 hp or more to the top end.

I beleive it said they used a DynoJet dyno, which tend to read higer than the typical Land&Sea dynos and Mustang dynos but only by 5-10% or so.
