I have read 3 different HP ratings on 636's so far from Sport Rider magazine. Each dyno is different as is each bike. Too bad that they don't standardize between the different companies. Also some Dyno Tuner's up their numbers to attract more customers. The customers think; "Hey, I'll go to him cause his dyno or tuning produces more power." I might take mine to another guy to see if theres a difference.

Honestly, I think Dyno's are only good for tracking your progress as you upgrade a bike or car. I plan on using the same guy and same dyno all the time. I will first get a base number and then the exhaust, ECU, fuel, turbo, etc... As long as you use the same dyno, then your gain in performance will be the same. Going from 100 to 120 hp is the same gain as going from 300 to 320 hp. So, that is all they are good for.

05ZX6R; That's the most sensible thing anyone has said so far about Dyno's. You are absolutely right. The only reason I was taking it somewhere else was that the other guy can get my bike done in an hour & half, whereas the guy I took it to had my bike for a week just to download some already available maps. I'm sorry, but I can't afford to miss out on prime riding time. Plus the new guy uses the computer to MAP the Air/ Fuel ratio. I believe it's more accurate to let the computer adjust the mixture because the bike is computer controlled. The first guy doesn't like to use the computer and does it manually. It takes him 2 days to get it right. The computer can do it in an hour and be perfect. By the way it's the same price; $200 either way.

Here's another little tidbit of info I just found out; SAE HP & STD HP ratings are different. SAE HP is rated lower than STD HP. SAE Hp is over 2 HP less on my bike. 107.6 vs 105.2.

I had my bike dyno'd today. My mods are Two bros exhaust and power commander. With a custom map I got 107.5 to the wheel. Thats the first graph. Then for fun we did the jumper mod and did another run. Got 111.2 not bad for a tiny piece of wire.

Man, I wish they had a jumper mod for the 03-04's. I will load anotherMAP on mine; the original MAP that came with the PCIII that I bought on Ebay. I had save it before loading the Micron MAP. It was a FBF Italian model custom MAP and I had a hard time keeping the front-end down during hard acceleration. I wish I had it dyno'd with that one. Any way I'll play around a little bit but will install the Race ECU in a couple of days then get it dyno'd again. There another Dyno guy here who charges $30 for dyno runs.

If any ones interested, I have an Extra RACE Adjustable Race ECU for sale and listed on Ebay. I will sell it to Kawasakiforums members for $500 plus Shipping. If you want it P.M. me or "BUY IT NOW" on ebay and I will refund the difference. Here's the link to the auction: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...RK%3AMESE%3AIT

I finally got to Dyno my ZX-6R. It is an 06 with a Yoshi SR-5 and K&N; 4,600 miles on 91 octane gas. To my surprise it got to 115WHP @ around 13.2krpm on three different pulls -WINPEP7 DynoJet. I think I'm on the high end of the "scale" with just two mods, right?. The guy who did it (Will @ Fast Lane Cycles, VA) said it was one of the strongestengines he had tested.

My problem? It running lean ... very I should say. I'll post the dyno results on Monday, but it is running between 13.8 and 15. We had "great" conditions to promote a lean the mix(humidity is 30% and the temperature is around 35) .

My question is, how much will fairer conditions (regular spring and summers temperatures/humidity) and putting back my stock filter help? Will it bring the mixture to below 14? Also, will I lose the WHP gains on the pipe by gong back to the stock filter?

I know, many questions, but I can't go for a PC now and would not want to hurt the engine by running lean.
