hey guys i was looking at my header since i was about to change it but i noticed that i had rust on it dont know why maybe becuz i have been caught in the rain im not sure...Do you guys have any idea???? check the pics

talked to a guy and he said that it might be that my fuel is messed up to rich or to lean and that it makes the header get real hott...???

Probably just surface rust from the rain.Use a green scotch brite pad. Should do the trick.

 

im voting on rain too. ive never heard of a lean mixture causing rust, heat causing discoloration but not rust.

 

Sometimes a lean mixture can overheat the header and cause a change in the metal causing it to rust. Once you get it Ceramic coated, you won't have to ever worry aboutrust again.
