I've been riding alot the last couple of weeks and a couple things have come up with my bike. number one, I changed the plugs, and there seems to be alittle hesitation at about 9 grand. also, it seems to me that the when I rev the engine, it doesnt rev as quick as it used to. also it takes a second for the revs to drop after the throttle has been closed up.

its a 2000 XZ6 R

Can anyone tell me if theres somthing I need to look into?

What kind of plugs did you use?

 

spark ones

If you gaped them right, the plugs won't be an issue. It sounds like something else unrelated to the plugs must have happened. (Possibly while you were changing the plugs)

 

anywhere in particular i should look? mayby a point of refrence I can start at?

 

Just think about what you had to take apart or move in order to get to your plugs. Go back and examine everything closely. Also make sure the boots on your plugs are secure and tight.
