Did you plug in the IAT sensor connector on the airbox after the air filter change?

I didn't have to disconnect anything to remove the airfilter.

Can you hear the fuel pump run when you turn on the key? Put you ear against the tank to listen. It should run for at least 3 seconds. Also, Check your EFI fuse.

It ran fine before the exhaust; Is that what you're saying? Has the bike been sitting a while? Is it possible that something got disconnected when you lifted the tank to change the filter?

I'm stationed in Spangdahlem Germany; not far from Luxemberg. I'll get a power commander once I get back to the states. I just want to ride the rest of the time I'm here and then it is off to Northern Cali.
Nice spot I was in Darmstadt just outside if Frankfurt back in the day, sure was a fun time. Would be great place to have a bike.

I put the battery back in and the bike started right up. I left the K&N filter in. How do you know if the bike is running lean? It ran great today 150+ for start of season.

you can dyno it with an exhaust gas analyzer and you want the air fuel ratio to be right around 13:1

Will the bike sound different if it is running lean? I will be getting a PC when I get back the states in April.
