Should be under the passenger seat. It comes with instructions and show exactly where to be mounted. It's not too hard; just have to route the wires which can be a pain.
I found the placement was a little awkward. I'm no mechanic, but after a little bit of support from the group here - installed my own. Pretty easy, took about an hour (and I was movin pretty slow). It didn't quite fit where the tool kit did (plus that tool kit has helped other riders on the side of the road and I wanted it onboard). But I didn't secure mine well, and due to the shape and location of my Two Bros exhaust, my PC is now a new funky sorta melted shape. Still works, but wish I'd watched the placement a little better. Now I route it under the rubber belt that goes over the tool kit, which leaves it suspended off to the side, but still up under the passenger seat. Luckily, it still works fine. The real trick is plugging in all the connections without losing any skin off your knuckles!
Good luck.
Good luck.
Thanks that help me out too. i just got the PCIII and a pipe and hope to get them on late sunday. all my parts are at my buddys house though so i havent got to go over them yeat. do i down load the correct map befor the install or is it easy to do after?
It's easy either way. If you have a wireless capable laptop, you can do it on the bike or on the desktop if you have the 9 volt adapter. Or you can download it to a thumbdrive & load it from a laptop on the bike. lots of Options.
