Guys,

What happens if I use the slip-on and a K&N without the PC? 98% of my time is spent under 11,000 RPMs, so I would be ok if the bike does not gain much at top ... but I do not want to harm the engine with it running to lean.

I take her to the track a couple of times a year, so will the slip-on/K&N/no-pc combo put extra strain on the bike?

On the other hand, wjat if I go back to factory filter and use the slip-on? I guess that would be ok, right? Will I still get some HP gains?

Once again, at this point I just want to get the pipe for the "music".

Tx.

You'll be find without the PC3 with the K&N and Exhaust. The PC3 is recommended though. I ran my zx10r without a PC3 and with a PC3 there was no huge noticeable difference. I'm still waiting on getting a custom map done. Hope this helps.

The pcIII is not made to gain lots of HP just to even out your air fuel mixture I gained 2 hp when I did my custom map though. AND it will smooth out your excell very nicely.

True; the PC111 has the ability to provide the most HP for your particular setup. It optimizes the air fuel ratio. You can get a custom map and get the most Hp out of your bike the way it is right now but if you add a full exhaust, you'll have to get it remapped again if you want the Most HP.

Correct, anytime you do any performance mods you should get the PCIII remapped to make any adjustments to your air fuel that has changed. Good looking out SPEEDRACER138. Once I get my DYNO sheet scanned I will post it so you can see the change of the air fuel ratio. So you have an idea what to expect.

Has anyone heard the Hotbodies exhaust for the '06 636s. They look sick but I don't want it if it sounds like garbage. Anyone have it or heard it?

I have heard it. it sounds ok. kind of raspy. very loud. i have been told that my Boz Bros is just as loud but has alot better tone (Boz Bros. is deeper). the guy that has the hotbodies kit says it chips easealy too from rocks thrown up from the tire. but it does look sweet. i am still tring to get a video clip so you guys can hear my pipe.

I've heard the Hotbodies does exactly that; get the plastics hot and melts them. Seat gets hot too, traps a lot of heat.

I agree.
anytime you do a mod requires fine tuning to get the most power/tq
