i just flushed my radiator and may have gotten some moisture on a few engine parts. I dont recall the red oil light coming on when the ignition is in the "on" position. When i start the engine though, the light turns off.

My question is does everyones red light come on (along wiht the neutral light) when the key is in the on position (engine off)?

Yes... This is normal. Just like a car when ya turn the key on it displays all the vehicles instruments, till ya turn it on. Now if it stayed on when it is running that will be when ya need to worry.

Your oil light will only turn on if there's no oil pressure in the system. since your oil pressure drops to zero when you turn the engine off, the light comes on.
