Anyone have any guesses as to how long the new fuel-injected ninja's (say '03-'06) will run before they need an overhaul/new motor?

 

they need a motor change usually when the running engine brokes !

now seriously , it depends on the way you ride the bike.i'm sure that if my grandpa would have a 06 ZX6R it will last at least 100.000 miles... I think the most important thing is to make sure that the engine is always working in normal parameters (oil level , temp) and that you change the oil regulary... The new injection type engines are projected for at least 50-60.000 km... but it depends very much on the way you ride. What, haven't you see a brand new 04 busa with 3000 km on it with the engine blown? Try not to keep it too much on the red rpm zone
