How many miles is too many?
I have found a reasonable (seems like it anyway) deal on a 1999 Concours.... bike looks good... haven't ridden it yet, but my only catch is.... its got nearly 75,000 miles on it. Now according to some sources that I have checked.... thats about dbl what the average miles should be. The dealerships gave me the whole song and dance..."oh don't worry.... they're all highway miles!"
What do you guys think? They're asking blue book price on it for a 99 in perfect low mileage condition!

If by chance you can find the original owner and see if he may have all the maintenance records. 75k is not that bad. They used that 1000cc motor for 21 years. Must be something good about it.
As long as the motor was taken care of, I don't see a problem with those miles. Kawi makes a pretty bullet proof motor.
My '01 ZRX had 62k and I know of 3 others that have over 100k.

Kevin, at 75k miles on it and still being listed at bb? I am saying no to that alone. The ride is prolly pristine, but I would go lower on the price. Most rides if taken care of will go 150k miles.

What is KBB, around 4k? I bet the dealer doesnt' want that thing sitting around the lot too long. Go make an offer of what you thinks it's worth, say around $2700. I wouldn't go any higher than $3100.
