Long trip prep--Atlanta to Fort Lauderdale
[align=left]Hey guys! This is my first official post on this site! I've been lurking for quite some time now, but didn't think my 1994 zx6e was worth the post.
I recently bought a 2004 zx6r as my third bike and am loving it as I've wanted it for so long. I'll post pics soon--the girlfriend has my camera.
I rode my 250 to Daytona and make regular trips to North Carolina on the zx6e. This time I'm riding the zx6r from Atlanta to Fort Lauderdale, FL. I'm really excited about the trip because I love just packing what you can fit on the bike for a few day trip.
My question is, though, is there anything that I might need to do aside from any normal maintenance on the Zixxer? I'll change the oil, put Wetter Better or Water Wetter, whatever that super-coolant is, air and oil ilter, of course.
The only performance mod on the bike now is a Two Brothers Racing slip-on. I have a little over 7,000 miles on the bike; I have maybe 1,500 miles on my tires.
Any suggestions on the suspension?
Valve adjustments?
Any suggestions are appreciated!
Oh, one more thing:
I was looking for a place to get the reflector-replacing screws for my front fairing. Is BikeBandit the only place we can get replacements that look stock?
Thanks,
Joe
