Asia will be wet so I suggest at least the T vent mod. Rotating 2 air filter should see you through 8 weeks riding no problem (oiled of course). New tyres and HD tubes, rimlock on the rear. A couple of oil filters.

The usual ADV bumbag kit, (spare fuses, liquid steel, cable ties, 100mph tape, puncture repair kit and tyre irons, service tools, spare nuts, bolts and fasteners etc.)

Oil the chain every 500 km or so and liberal amounts of CRC or WD if it gets wet..

If bike is stock then 10'000km isn't a problem with just the usual basic servicing.

Sound like it'll be one fun trip. SE Asia is a big place. Can you define your route better?

Tools, fuses like was mentioned, a spare tube, I would take one of each and a patch kit, tire irons, get a tank bag to keep all the small items in, air pump and spare spark plug. Also a spare masterlink for the chain.

bring: $100 in cash, mini bottle of chain lube, small thing of oil, spare tools, spare tube(s), cell phone, enough weed to cover the trip, top of beer (or saki, it is asia) supply every time you can.

do to the bike: check valves, change oil, lube chain, tighten all bolts you might think would come loose (like my handguard that feel off yesterday).

think that about covers what i do. normally my trips are 3-4 days, but i will be doing one with 1500 miles, 5 days, and will basicly be a desert race threw 4 states in september.

Money and toilet paper, it wouldn't be too comfortable riding around with only one sock.
