Default How can i adjust the handle bars on my '02 Ninja ZX-6R properly?

I just recently purchased this bike and i think because the guy i bought this from was quite a bit shorter than I am he never had a reason to change anything. But i'm 6'3" and on bike rides longer that 30 mins i start to get a somewhat sharp pain in my right wrist almost like what i would imagine carpal tunnel syndrome would feel like. And after searching all over the net trying to find a way to do this properly i've decided to listen to the advice ofKawi Forum users.
Reguardless i need to know what bolts and and things i need to do to turn the handle bars out just a little, i'm a bit concerned though that they are free floating handle bars and don't have exact position settings they can be set in. Meaning there is a large margin for error on trying to make these bars be the same position apart. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Handlebars on an '02 6r? Does it include the flashy glittery strips on the end of the grips? Training wheels included?

Ok, messin' again. But if you want dead nuts, string the front and rear, lower the grip clamps and measure from the tank or the frame. "Free floating means.... clip ons?" Thinking that they are 6 or 8 mm on the pinch bolts.

chances are the grips will be more even than your body and posture. so dead nuts even may not actually feel even.

syncronized clip ons, go to cycle gear and ask for a clip on syncro and do it right. if on your year model, there is a bolt that stableizes the clip on then youll probley need a bar rizer kit, and i forget who make them but they are out there. if not just loosen the bars and pop em out.

Thanks for all the advice so far guys, but aparently that year and model has clip ons that are "not" adjustable. One position only. So now i have to look into aftermarket clip ons. I'm hearing mixed reviews about the vortex clip ons. Some say they are great others say they dont wotk properly with these bikes due to the fact that the stock clip ons also have a somewhat built in riser so that the bars actually sit about the top clamp. Apparently the vortex ones sit below the top clamp, which in my opinion wont help my problem. Anyone else have any suggestion on aftermarket clip ons that will fit the same as the stock ones. Meaning they will fit under the top clamp and the actaual bars will be above the top clamp? Check the link out below. I'm open to suggestions. Thanks
