I sent an email to ROK (riders of kawasaki) who are listed on the kawasaki site. They sent back this reply, "Thank you for the concern.I will forword this to the sport bike product manager.Brian". Maybe this can get to be a recall.

great! i look forward to my throttle body going out. i might just light it on fire and drive it through the dealership. maybe my insurance will cover that.

I just stopped by and spoke with Cyclebarn near Seattle about the throttle body issue. They have seen at least 20. So ya, about time kawasaki admits that they need to do a recall and move on.......

Damn, I saw a whole set of throttle body assembly with the airbox and all on ebay for $50 but it's gone now. Oh Well?

Have they said what is specifically wrong with the throttle bodies? Because if they're replacing them with the same parts, then it will have that problem again, unless it was a bad batch during manufacturing or assembly. Is this a problem with the 05 & the 06's or just the 06's?

I just called my local dealer Service Manager and he hasn't heard of any problems with those bikes. I wonder if it's a Cali model problem. I guess not since Olympia636 had it also. Any input?

I'm also curious if this is a regional thing? I'm in Houston TX and I've called 3 diff't dealerships (AJ Foyt Kawa, Wild West Kawa, and Houston Kawa) and they all said that they have not had anyone come in with the throttle body problems.

if this is the case then i will have to figure out how i can get my dealership to replace it before it goes bad. i did not get an extended warranty so i have a year to figure this out. i know my luck. it will go out exactly 1 year and 1 day from purchase.
