Gutting out the cat

RE: Gutting out the cat
interesting post.
i grew up in michigan where ther are (or were?) no emission standards on cars/trucks. it was a favorite pastime for me to hammer the cats out of friends' cars and trucks. i ran into one where there was a bend in the pipe just before the cat. i ended up using a hammer and screw driver for most of it and then took the same screw driver and bent it in a vise to complete it. i also found it usefull to start the engine and blow all the **** out of the exhaust with the gas pedal prior to re-ataching the rest of the exhaust. god i used to be a hick! now i'm just a mild redneck.
i wonder if the bent screw driver would work well for an 05/06 exhaust??
