Default Got my dynojet shifter today

Got my power commander shifter today and the instructions are lame for my 05 636, does it actually push when I push or does it only kill the fueling for a quick second. I was under the impression that it pushes the shifter like an air shifter I havent put it on yet and do I have to set the kill time before it will work correctly, or will it work fine once it is plugged in without having to get out the laptop or going to the dyno guy first?

It works by cutting out the ignition for a millisecond to unload the transmission so you can upshift. I does not assist or make the shift like an airshifter.

Thanks I will put it on as soon as I get time, I have to put on A new stock swingarm new brake caliper new wave rotor from galfer and rebuild my shock before I really get time for this I am also getting a factory pro shift kit to aid the shifting as well but thanks guys for responding. I will take it to my dyno guy after I get all of this stuff done and see how much faster my bike is between K@N and BMC and yoshi on a 05 636 with no smog connected and a quick shift DJ and factory pro shift kit, hopefully it all makes a big diff

you really want to improve some time send that dynojet quick shifter back and get you an air shifter from Schnitzracing.Com, or MPS racing. Do it all with the push of a button, save you a couple 10ths of a second.

I don't think you need an ignition module but am not 100% certain. However, The ignition module will give you more power by advancing the timing.
