well i got my h-pipes for my car today and was trying to install them but cant seem to get the driver side upper pipe to mount right and i am thinking that they sent me to passenger side upper pipes since they are both identicle. so i sent them an email and i am waiting a response from them, if they say thats the way the pipes come i am just going to take the pieps to a mufler shop and have them bent into position.....

i wish i could be rollin loudly right now but i am waiting to find out why the driver side pipe is having clearance issues but maybe i will roll under the car tomorrow when i get off work and snap some picks of the parts that did manage to fit properly......either way i will make this thing fit even if i have to have a muffler shop bent the pipe to the right shape

 

ok wait up. is the h pipe for your set up or are you adapting a v8 one to your 6 ?

is it not ligning up coming off the motor side or the connector towards the rear of the car ?

 

every h pipe i ever sawdeddded was a straight bolt on, except the ones we made and had to weld the flanges on. if you removed the exhaust from the hangers, would it allign ?

 

basically the issue is that the 2 pipes that connect betwen the headers and the h-pipe are identical the passenger side fits no problem. the floor pan on the passenger side does not go twards the center of the car but the driver side does to accomidate for the gas pedal and that extra couple inches is where i am having the clearance issue...if i line up the botom prtion of the pipe with the h-pipe it is off alignment from the header about 1-2 inches and vice versa....i will snap some pics and it will explain better.....i even tried hammering my floor pan in a bit to help for the clearance and it still dont work...thats why i think it is the wrong pipe for that side because as far as i know it is suppose to be a direct bolt on replacement for my y-pipe......this is the h-pipe i ordered
