Default Got my License today!

Went and took the skills test today and passed with no problems. Nice to get it out of the way. Did get lucky though, there were these storm clouds coming in as I hauled the bike out to the DMV. There was one guy in front of me and one behind. I made it through the test, got my paperwork signed and stamped, rode the bike back to the trailer and the sky opened up! They don't test in the rain so the guy behind me didn't get to go through. Was my day for sure!

Way to go Warren. Here in Washington you take the test if it sunny or raining. Got mine in 1982, and again in 2006

What was required for the test?
The instructor said there was actually 7 excersises. I has to start at a T and first go straight to a sharp left turn and then another left and then stop with my front tire inside a****e lined box. Then I had a cone weave with a right turn. Then the fast stop. Start at the T, go about 15 mph through a set of cones and stop as fast as you safely can. I then had to swerve at a certain point and not cross any lines that they had painted. Allexcersises are around 15mph. Was pretty easy on the klx but it would for surebe tougher with a bigger bike.

Poodlenuts put out a reply to a post a while ago with diagrams of the test. They were a huge help. They were about the same as I went through. I believe if you search for licence MN it should come up.

Thanks all

It's the exact same test over here in Hawaii. If you're counting though that's not seven tests right, he told us not stalling and not putting your feet down at any time are the other two. I was the only on to not hit a cone. Three Harleys and two sport bikes were in front of me, they all hit cones. The instructor was laughing, he said this is the best possible bike to take the test with. In HI you have to have your own bike in your name to take the test.
That was also the first day I took her on the Interstate, kinda interesting.

I took the MSF beginner course. With that endorsement all I had to do at the DMV was pay the fee.

The MSF course is an excellant one and highly recommended to all riders who haven't already taken it.

I agree with taking the course. I have heard all good things about it.I believe most even supply the bike to take the courseon. There is even one close to me and I came close to signing up but was on vacation this week and my license card came in the mail that my license is due the end of the month so....just went and took it. Saved a few $s since I had to renew my license anyway.

Right about the putting the feet down and hitting the cones. Some places are just points for puting your foot down and other places are failures.
