Default glowing headers

Hi im new to the forums I have an 05 636 and was wondering if anybody else has noticed if their headers glow red at night. I used to have a 98
zx6r that did the same thing when I drove it hard, my new bike does it all the time.

wow you must ride it pretty hard to do that i guess. I never looked at my headers to see if I made them glow. Of course I get off work at 1:00 in the morning and the only thing I want to look at is my bed.

I've never noticed that either, like you MAD KAW, I get off between 1-2 in the morn and all I want to do is get home to my bed!

Actually it's because you are running lean. Kawasaki's are sort of known to run lean from the factory. If you have a good mechanic, have him check it out for you. I'm not real familiar with the 636 but I assume they are fuel injected, not carburated. Have it re-mapped. Probably run better too.

never paid too much attention to my headers either... what does running lean have to do with the headers getting hot? running rich or lean, their glowing bc their hot,
