I just ordered my Scorpion C/F exhaust from pipecity for my 06 zx636. I have not ordered the PC3 yet but wanted to toss the slip on on the bike now. If i do that am I going to get the FI light to come on? If so is that bad to run it until I can get the PC 3?

PS. Im new to this so please be gentle.

 

Welcome well I can answer that for yea I had mine slip on for about 3 months before I put on a PCIII. pLUS i HAD A K&N AIR FILTER. No FI light ever came on. Do you want to here what your bike will sound like????

Thanks for the info. It sounds great. I was affraid that I would have to wait till I got a PC3 to install the scorpion. After hearing it Im glad i chose the scorpion.

Thanks blue and no problem hcgsr. That is what we are here for at the forum.

 

hcg, the only thing that will trip the fi light is the servo stop, if you dont put it on, it will cause the fi light to come on. your good to go with just the slip on as long as you keep your stock filter on. if you go to a k&n or bmc with the slip on then youll need the pc.

right now im running stock filter, muzzy slip on and no pc.

 

No issue with running a slip-on without a PC. You may run lean if you add a high flow filter ... but with warmer more humid weather the ratio will not be that bad. I am runnig the stock filter until it really warms up.

 

I ran my Scorpion slip on and K&N with out a PCIII for 3 months and had no problems.
