WENT ON VACATION FOR 2 WEEKS...HAVE ALARM ON BIKE...FOUND BATTERY DEAD...IS THIS NORMAL?

A slow electrical drain will discharge any battery. Since motorcycle batteries are small and shallow cell, they die quickly. Good news is the acid is probrably still good depending on the age and use of the battery. A good full charge should get it back to normal. Get a trickle charger, it's safer and last longer.

esp if your gona leave the bike for 2 weeks, get a battery tender, runns abour 22 bucks, hell you can even buy them at walmart. plug your bike in and it will keep your battery charged, all year long.
