Default Dead battery

Will the KLX250S still run with a dead battery, i.e., if it is push started? I'm just curious, but that might be handy information to know.

Default RE: Dead battery

Well if its anything like the 2002 KLR 250 it should, maybe Marty could correct me if I'm wrong. The KLR rider that was in my last ride report hasn't had a battery in his bike for about 500 miles, and the light works and blinkers an all. And being a kick start it isn't used for that. I have heard that it really works the charging system, but I may be wrong. Hey Marty, you might be able to help me on this, My friend has been looking for the battery that fits the 2002 KLR 250 and he can't seem to locate one, do you have a really good source, or part number that I could pass on to him?
