Default Bike wont start after oil change???

I changed the oil on my 2004 ninja 636, replaced the oil, filter and also replaced the engine cover. I went to start it up in order to circulate the oil, (obviously), and it did a half turn and clicked. Now it wont even turn over and only clicks as if the battery were dead. I charged the battery until it was full and i have the same results. Does anyone have any idea of why my bike with only 12,000 miles is having this issue??? I want to enjoy the last few nice days before winter.

Could be a loose connection. Maybe there is a loose neg cable that grounds to the sidecover you took off? Sounds like bad/loose connection to me since it tried to start. How old is the battery? Even if the battery takes a charge, still could be bad. It wont be able to handle a load. See how many volts yer battery puts out as you push the starter button. Should be gettin 12.5 volts or more.

The loose connection thing does sound true. But why disconnect anything electrical to do an oil change? Is that cover that you changed out binding? or is the safety switch needing adjustment?
