When your fuel light comes on you are riding on your reserve. The other poster is correct in saying that there is no reserve to manually switch over but the light lets you know that you are in reserve.
If you want top know how far you can go on reserve try this. Fill a medium size water bottle with gas, one that will fit in your trunk and when your reserve light comes on record how far you ride until you run dry. Then pull over and use the gas in your trunk to get you to the gas station.
Problem solved. I go about 26 miles after my light comes on.

what trunk. my 05 would not fit a bottle even with the tool kit out. the space under the tail on these is a joke. it is probably my biggest complaint. but if thats all i have to complain about i really dont have much.lol
btw mine will go about 30 miles for sure after the light come on. i have never run it out. my light comes on about 145 every time.

i can only fill up 3.1 some odd gallans when i fill up 15 miles after the light comes on... way premature. averages out to 40 miles a gal still so i guess i have like 60 + miles after the light comes on. hopefully the sensor is just tight and well pull the stick out it's *** after a while. thanks for all the help guys.
