Default Good Gas/Bad Gas

Cheers My KLX Friends: There has been some talk about bad brands of Gas and to steer clear of them. I have just a few to chose from here in Mayberry, NC. Citgo, Shell, Hess and that's about it. Which one if any is good??

Thanks

The all come from the same supplier. Just different additives when they put it in the tank wagon.

I was thinking bad gas in the past.....But then I just turned the carb screw out 3/4-1 turn out and seem to not have an issue anymore....Hmmmmm.....

I was getting the 6-7k rpm sputter but thats gone as well.....Sure the gas isnt all that great...But you may try forcin a tad bit more petro down her throat...I do favor Mobil gas when I get the chance though...

Yea I heard that AM/PM had the worst gas but I also heard that there are really only three suppliers and a hundred resellers. On a related note I also heard that Dish Network is owned by the same company as Direct TV which is probably why they don't act all worried when you threaten to switch anymore.

In Utah we have 3 refineries that service dozens of differently branded gas stations that much is true.
But when it comes to fuel quality there is more to it than simply the additive package that is used in the base stock; factors such as handling, storage times, contamination, filtering and stock turn over can play a pretty significant role in the quality of fuel pumped out the end of the nozzle.
If you fill at a station that sells a lot of gas (Costco and Flying-J are the busiest around these) then you generally get decent fuel.
I add 2oz of Techron to my bikes tank at each fill-up.
