I had this posted in the general tech section, but no 03-04 owners must go in there, so I thought I might get some help in here.

I was wondering if an 03-04 636 owner would be able to measure there swingarm for me. I need measurments from the swingarm pivot to center of axle slots, how wide the swingarm pivot(inside) is. and how far it is from the axle slot to the block in front of the wheel. Thanks.

 

I have an '05 ZX 636. I think 768 RYDA has a 2004 model. Send a pm and he might be able to help you out. Good luck. What do you need the swing-arm measurement for anyways?

 

I have a 03 zx6r, 636 (wife's bike). I will measure and post what i get for you.

 

As promised here is what I got for measurements : Swing arm pivot to center of slots : 21 3/4 " Axle slot to brace (tire side) : 14 5/8 " and last but not least swing arm pivot: 10 1/4 " The swing arm pivot was tough to measure because there is flanges on the frame and bushings on the swingarm, chain guide, chain, ect...plus just trying to get in there to get a accurate measurement. The measurement is from frame flange to frame flange. This included the bushings on the swing arm which is total width inside of frame. Hope this helps, anything else just ask, ill do my best to help.

A supermoto klx is nothing in comparision to this project in the works. More to follow in time.

On a side note the 636 swinger is not a good starting point even for modifications. The search is still on.
