Actual Speed

Default Actual Speed

Since this has been a topic of late...Heres something that I found.

According to a Kustom Signals Talon II radar unit the error in the 2005 ZX-6R speedometer is as listed below. Ambient temperature was approximately 90F, stock Bridgestone BT014 tires with slightly less than 2000 miles on them and factory recommended air pressure.

wow thats a big differance in speed. at the most 10 mph differance? but it still doesn't tell me why they do that or how that happens?

maybe its some sort of conspirecy where they make the speedos say faster in an attempt to get people not to drive as fast. so that people can look down and see theyre going fast but there not going as fast as it really says.

yeah pretty much 10% across the board....maybe it is just a safety measure. So that means my 175 was actually only 158ish [:'(]

now when the bike companys come out with the top speeds of the bikes.. are they going by speedo speed or radar speed??

I think manufactors list actual speeds cause our bike tested is shown only to go 163mph
