Is the 600cc a girl's bike
Oh goody! Here's my 0.02. (no offence to anyone on bigger bikes, like I said it is all about comfort level)
Who cares what you start out on??!! Are you riding for yourself or someone else? If you are riding for someone else or to look cool or whatever, you are making a mistake. I firmly believe that before taking the plunge into motorcycles, you have to sit down and evaluate yourself. Be honest with yourself, are you mature, etc.....
I am starting out on a 500. I decided that I would be more comfortable on a 500 (size, power, adjustable levers, etc) I have no ambition to be racing or stunting (why bother increasing my chances of having an accident), the 500 is sporty looking, fun to drive and has more than enough power and capabilities than I'll ever need. Sure I love the look of other more powerful bikes, but I had to be realistic. I personally would not have been comfortable with a larger bike.
So go out and buy what you are comfortable on and what you can afford (keep insurance in mind too), don't listen to what someone says you should or shouldn't buy. And as far as any bike being a "girl's bike" - these bikers need to grow up! A girl can get on any bike that any guy can and ride it just as well (depending on rider skills of course). So if you look at it that way - all bikes would be a "girls bike"! [sm=rant.gif]
Good luck with your first motorcycle purchase, I hope you buy what you like and what you want.

If it makes you feel any better my gf now use to race her x bf's Busa at the track, and it runs 8.80's w/ him riding and w/ her riding it she could pull 9.00's. So look at it like this, some girls can ****ing ride. id leave it at that.
You guys are awesome on here. To the others girls on here.. man we get mad respect from these guys...
Not like other riders on the road. Well, I can't say they dis girls but when I go riding and when they ride behind me. Well, that's all they do. They won't pass me (weird). But they look at girls on bikes like it's hot and like it's not really happening for some reason. Some, not all, just can't believe girls ride bikes.
Oh, and my last two cents again.. Not one bike is a guys bike and not one bike is a girls bike. It's YOUR BIKE.

And I know, what is it with guys not passing????? Or the guys that darn near get whiplash once they realize that it is a girl on a bike (I laugh every time that happens to me!) The guys here are GREAT! [sm=smiley20.gif]

Well this post went on longer than it should have
I would like to add that if you dont get the point from the guys and girls in this forum then maybe you shouldnt ride a bike.
Plain and simple a bike is a bike and a rider is a rider Its that simple. Just ride and enjoy. [sm=closed.gif]

amen brother (gotrice),
everyone here has there own opinion and everyone of them are great. but what it boils down too is you. ride what you can handle. ride within your limits. if 636 is your thing then dude ride it till the wheels fall off. but just remember who gives a **** what you ride. just as long as your out there enjoying the ride. be safe out there.[sm=groupwave.gif]

all i have to say is, those dumb bikers you asked questions and said a 600 is a girls bike. they only say that cause they got tired of the power. but they still probably wouldnt know how to ride any bike to its fullest. all they did was want more ccs cause they think itll make them go faster, and in a straight line there right. but when they head into a turn and get passed by every 600 cc bike out there theyll know the difference. if you know how to ride a bike to its fullist youll never get bored with it. most people trade to bigger bikes before they even really know how to ride the smaller one. and that is pointless
Anyone who says a 600cc bike is a girls bike doesnt know his a$$ from a hole in the wall[sm=loser.gif]
No point in getting a liter class bike then being too scared to ride it. They are way too fast for a noob.
