Default 2nd Gear

I have a 1992 ZX6 type D Ninja and when I get onthe throttle, about hitting 7000-8000 rpms, it slips out of 2nd gear into neutral. Anyone have this happen before? I was figuring it has something to do with the 'dogs.' I'm not exactly sure. Any thoughts?

Yep, sounds like the gear is worn, or moved on the cassette.

Just try adjusting your shift lever down a bit first. Also adjust your chain & lube it. If it still happens then an ispection is n order. Could be the shift cam (Star). It is a problem with some ZX6R's. If that is the case, check with www.factorypro.com .
