Default 1996 zx-6r clutch problem

hey, i found a 1996 zx6-r for sale. the problem is the clutch is actually grinding along the inside of the clutch cover. its hitting the cover as if it the clutch is pushed out. when he bought it he put a new clutch in it, he had his mechanic do it. his mechanic said its possibly a tranny issue. does anyone have any idea what could be going on? thanks for the help.

1,500 is not bad, i would take it, even if it comes down to it and you find out theres more problems and have to do a motor swap, u can find one for 4 or 500 bucks and have a strong running bike

i would try and get him down to $1200 talk about the wear on the tires and how you'll have to replace them soon. I know it's not cool, but I HATE paying "asking price" or even worse RETAIL!
