I have an '05 ZX636 and every time I change my oil I only drain about 2 quarts out even though I put just shy of 4qts in everytime. Friends that I ride with say I'm not blowing out blue smoke when I ride and I'm not leaking oil. My bike stays parked in the same spot and the fairing underneath the bike is dry. Does anybody know what's going on? Thanks.

 

When you do your daily pre ride inspection....what level is the sight glass showing? 2 qts is substantial and would be noted on your daily pre lim walk around. How many miles on your ride? What mods have you done?

I just did an oil change about a week ago so the oil level is still at the top of the range on the sight glass. I have about 16,700 miles on my bike and the only performance mod I have done to the bike is a slip-on exhaust. I think I may have found the leak though because I have some oil on around the edge of my clutch cover. So I'm gonna pull that off this weekend and see if the gasket is bad but it wasn't 2qts of oil. It was maybe a slight drip from the clutch cover but nothing that was leaving a puddle where the bike is parked or on the fairing underneath. But this weekend I'm gonna try and figure out.
