Welcome to KF

hmm, most owners will place an inline filter. But stock, it is back to the petcock screen and carb filters/screens.

I would probably just clean the screen, dump/drain the carb bowls. Normally the size of the filter and the lack of room available on a ride makes it really my last resort.

off topic, idk if you know what the stock pegs look like for this bike but they are ridiculously huge and ugly and have a giant rubber piece on them. ive been lookin on ebay at different pegs and arent suure which ones would fit, i see n some that say universal and other generic china pegs thats say they fit like 88-07 bikes but not my 85? while others fit 85-90' doesnt make since is there a stand ard diameter pin hole or??

Welcome to the forums. I would add a small inline fuel filter, REGARDLESS of the condition of your little screen in your fuel tank. Most of you have no idea how much junk/sediment/water gets mostly "settled-out" between the refineries and the final retail fuel stations.
As for pegs, you might go with a dedicated bike retailer like Dennis Kirk, Motorcycle Superstore, Competition Accessories, etc. to be sure of the fitment. Yes; a bit more pricey, but you could go with aftermarket adjustable rearsets as well. Sometimes you "gets what you pays for."
